For this resolved piece I made sure to involve what I had learnt from Hockney and fauvism. Like Hockney would, I have replaced every single colour in the scene with a bright, completely artificial one, continuing my investigation in to how much a location can be changed with colour.
Additionally, by making the river orange and the path blue/green, I have used colour theory knowledge to convey the contrast in atmospheres and busyness. The same happens between the sky and the buildings. Also I used blues and purples for the distant buildings and bridges to increase sense of depth.
As for brushstrokes, I have tried to, as much as possible, keep the strokes unblended to add to a chaotic feel just as the fauvists like Derain did.
